Join me for a beautiful immersion as we glide through a gentle combination of yoga to shift energy and let go into relaxation. Our movement practice will be followed by a guided meditation called yoga nidrā (योग निद्रा, yogic sleep) for deep relaxation. As we rest, we’ll be treated to a beautiful live performance by special guest artist, cellist Lucy Gisjbers, who will perform music specifically chosen for our session to invoke deep vibrational connection to body, heart and soul with gentle classics.
All profits will be directed to Movement for Healing, who provide therapeutic support to women who have been impacted by gender-based harm.
About our guest artist:
Cellist Lucy Gijsbers has been active in London’s vibrant music scene ever since moving from New Zealand in 2017. A busy professional musician, she performs regularly with London’s top orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic and BBC Symphony, and tours the UK and Europe with her piano trio.
A qualified personal trainer, sports nutritionist and Krav Maga practitioner, she is also invested in health and wellness and is inspired to explore the merging of music and health. One of her goals is to offer string ensembles as a part of a therapeutic experience for clients, where the musicians perform music specifically chosen to invoke tranquillity and relaxation as a part of a yoga or meditation class, or as a ‘sound healing’ experience to reduce stress and encourage mindfulness.
