This month’s Body Pilgrimage theme, Blossoming into Being, welcomes us slowly back into Spring from the hibernation of Winter; a re-birth into a new chapter of being. This session is influenced by the work of Javanese movement artist, Suprapto Suryodarmo (1945-2019) whose practise was influenced by studying the elements and movement in nature. Through gentle guidance we will, “practise movement with the approach of exploring like a child” .
The session will begin through the gateway of breath and āsana (yoga postures), followed by our movement enquiry informed by our theme of blossoming. We will close with a meditation towards the path of yoga nidrā (yogis sleep) to alchemise our movement exploration.
This session is for all movers from every movement background, age, or ability. No experience of yoga or movement is necessary, just willingness and courage to (re)connect with yourself.
A note on pricing:
To make the workshops financially accessible, I aim to price each session as fairly as possible through a sliding scale framework influenced by Worts and Cunning’s helpful illustrated graph (below). Keeping to mind the precept of asteya (अस्तेय) as found in Sutra 2.30 in Patanjalis’ discourse, I request that you are intentional about your pricing choice. I also understand that some months may differ from others financially.
