Mentoring

Roots

Mentoring for yoga and movement students-in-training, new graduates and qualified teachers.

A mentoring space may be beneficial for those who are seeking a scaffold of support for their yoga teaching.

“I have known Eunice for 15 years. She is a dedicated and committed practitioner, an empathetic teacher who skilfully weaves together different threads: yoga practice, psychotherapy, family life. Eunice has worked in different settings and she continues to study and explore. I have great confidence in Eunice’s abilities to mentor yoga teachers. This is much-needed work - we all need helping hands and Eunice can definitely be one of the hands that help.”

Roots is a mentoring space that is facilitated through verbal reflection and discussion, including experiential practice (both teaching practice and physical movement).

Mentoring is used as a space to think about your position within the framework of yoga pedagogy, and importantly, to think together about enhancements in your teaching or perhaps areas of development and growth. Critically, in an industry with little accountability, it is also a container of space where we can explore professional and ethical issues, and boundaries and limitations, in order to better serve the people that we support with genuine care and tenderness within our scope of practice.

I offer both group mentoring (limited to 3 participants) and individual 1:1 mentoring.

How does a Group work?

The group meet once a month for 2 hours over a 6 month period. Each member receives 1/2 hour of time within the group format.

Group Fee for each individual: £40 per person per session = £240 (over 6 months)

How does a 1:1 work?

We can decide how you want to work. It may be weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on how often you teach yoga.

Individual 1:1 Fee: £70 per hour / £50 low income
