“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.”
Body Pilgrimages invites you to Self-Care Sunday: a journey into rest as a devotional practice for self-preservation and community-care.
The session will begin through the gateway of breath and gentle āsana (yoga postures), followed by guided movement and yoga nidrā (yogis sleep).
This session is for all movers from every movement background, age, or ability. No experience of yoga or movement is necessary, just willingness and courage to (re)connect with yourself. I happily welcome participants with disabilities, please email me to let know your access needs. Wheelchairs can be accommodated in the space.
A note on pricing:
To make the workshops financially accessible, I price each session as fairly as possible through a sliding scale framework influenced by Worts and Cunning’s helpful illustrated graph (below). Keeping to mind the precept of asteya (अस्तेय) as found in Sutra 2.30 in Patanjalis’ discourse, I request that you are intentional about your pricing choice. I also understand that some months may differ from others financially and no one will be turned away.
Community spaces are available free of charge, please contact me to receive the code.
All profits go to Movement for Healing.
